THE SURF REPORT:
Head high to a couple of feet overhead. Beautiful sunny weather in the 80's. Water temp around 80.
Sam, Beth and Sandy Deeley were our guests for an epic Christmas charter. My brother Collin flew in the day after the Deeley's arrived. We picked them up in St. Thomas and headed to Tortolla. We surfed a fading swell at Apple Bay and then went to Norman Cay the next day to snorkel the caves. We were surrounded by tons of fish and got some sweet pics. Of course we had to pay a short visit to Willy T's, the floating boat bar that you have to get to by skiff. Our next stop was Savannah Bay on Virgin Gorda where we all went for a dive. We decided to have a Christmas dinner at The Bitter End, which turned out to be phenomenal! Thanks Sandy! We awoke early the next morning and hauled anchor and steamed to our secret reef break, which was firing once again. The surf started out in the chest high range and by the end of the first evening we were blessed with foot overhead sets that peeled for 200-300 yards! We all scored some epic waves and couldn't have asked for a better Christmas eve. We had a great dinner that evening and passed out early so that Santa Claus could make his rounds. The next morning we opened our presents and then went for a surf. The surf had come up to 6-8 foot with solid 10 foot faces on set! We surfed there in the morning and then opted to go back to Tortolla for an evening session at Apple Bay, which was a foot overhead on set and really fun. The next morning we surfed Apple Bay again in the 4-7 foot range and super rippable. We got some great pictures of the session and surfed for over 3 hours. We dropped the Deeley's off on Tortolla, where they met up with some of their family to finish of their vacation. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect Christmas Charter! Everyone had an epic time and we can't wait to do it again!
